Vacancy: APW Print Intern

APW is pleased to invite applications for the 2025/26 APW Print Intern position.

The APW Print Intern position offers a rare opportunity for someone who is passionate about prints and interested in pursuing a career (as a print curator or scholar; or a collections manager or registrar; or archivist) to gain valuable ‘hands-on’ experience in Australia’s leading not-for-profit professional print studio and gallery.

Working under the guidance of APW’s highly skilled team, the year-long internship provides practical experience across a range of Australian Print Workshop’s operations and programs, along with opportunities to gain broader experience in arts administration.

The APW Print Intern will be directly involved in a major digitisation project to catalogue APW’s significant collection of workshop proofs. The Print Intern will also assist with APW’s public programs, gallery operations and exhibitions.

The APW Print Intern role is a twelve-month, part-time (Tuesday-Friday, 9am-5pm) paid position, commencing July 2025. A stipend of $50,400 per annum (plus SG superannuation) is offered for the twelve-month engagement.

Applicants who can demonstrate an interest and knowledge of prints and contemporary printmaking are encouraged to apply for this exciting role.

Applications must include:

A brief cover letter and a CV outlining experience relevant to the position description.

Applications should be submitted as a single PDF document to: contact@australianprintworkshop.com

Application deadline: 5pm, Wednesday 30 April 2025.

Applicants must be available to commence in July 2025 and be able to commit to the entire 12-month program. This position is only open to applicants with unrestricted work rights in Australia.
