Monoprint

Monoprint is a printmaking medium that employs a hybrid of drawing and painting techniques to create unique state original prints from a matrix. In this course participants will learn how to create their own suite of monoprints using the printmaking technique of drypoint - exploring different mark making methods on plastic plates and other alternative plates and/or matrices.

Using water soluble oil-based inks, participants will learn how wipe and print plates to give each of their works a unique character. Participants will learn how to print on an etching press to create their own unique state original prints.

Courses in 2025 will be held:

  • Thursday 23 & Friday 24 January 2025
  • Thursday 17 & Friday 18 July 2025

 

Conditions of Enrolment

Full payment must be made at time of registration. Refunds will only be given if:

  • Payment is received after the class has been filled.

  • The class is cancelled.

  • The participant notifies APW of their withdrawal at least 14 days before the start date of the class (a fee of $50 will be charged for each withdrawal).

APW is not responsible for non-refundable airline or travel tickets or accommodation purchased by class participants. Parking is restricted around APW. Public transport is a convenient alternative. APW reserves the right to add, withdraw or vary the program.
