Monoprint Course

Monoprint is a hybrid of drawing / painting and plastic plate drypoint - giving the possibility of extending and developing imagery and mark-making into the realms of unique state monoprinting. You will explore different mark-making including drypoint techniques on plastic plates and other alternative plates and/or matrices. Using water soluble and oil-based inks, you will learn how to wipe and print plates to give each of your prints a unique character. You will be shown how to print by hand and use an etching press to create your own unique original prints.
