Traditional Japanese Woodblock

A special Summer School class presented by guest tutor Roslyn Kean.

This is a unique opportunity to gain a practical understanding of traditional Japanese Woodblock printing. In this intensive three-day course participants will produce their own prints using this beautiful method, including 'Bokashi'.

Using water-based pigments, special inking brushes and printing by hand on beautiful Japanese paper using the traditional 'baren', participants will learn to create their own contemporary prints without the use of presses, rollers or solvents.

Part of APW's Summer School.
